Work in Progress echos
Extracts about my current project from the report of the trend forecasting agency WGSN, about the work in progress exhibition, MA textile futures, Central Saint Martins, London: 
"Researching new ways of designing and consuming, Mosse's project explores the thinking behind "emotionally durable design", a practice that intends to reduce consumption and waste by establishing a relationship between the product and users. Through her reserch she hopes to design and develop new types of product playing on traditional thinking underpinned by a desire to design both for a sustainable and emotional future.
Challenging the relationship between textile and furniture, she is exploring new material languages through paper-making and cutting techniques, including laser-cutting, and new material technologies such as "gecko-tape" and nanotechnology research.
Mosse's "furniture to strip" plays with flat surfaces to 3D surfaces for 3D transformation. Layers are peeled off the table to reuse in the home for a second life such as curtains or table mats, or they are put together to create floor coverings.
Basing it on the Post-it note principle, Mosse has created a poetic approach to design embracing a tactile and emotive collection of materials, from wood laminate to gingham check tablecloth fabrics."
