Fabrics of Life - the film
I mentioned to some of you the Epigenetic workshop where MA design textile futures and Industrial design students met Epigenetic scientists last year, as a part of the Fabrics of life project. You can now have a taste of the workshop through video, as Palladio films did a record of the event, as mentionned below.
"In support of the Fabrics of Life projects, Palladio films are making a documentary to explore ways in which science can be communicated through the arts. Kirstin von Glasow will follow designers from Central Saint Martins College of Art & Design as they conceive, develop and create Nobel textiles. How will the designers interpret the science and how will the scientists react to future textiles?
Fabrics of Life, the film, will result in a 45-minute documentary to be broadcast on television. Excerpts are available below:"
